Dr. George H. Rawls, M.D. Dr. George Rawls, for which the Rawls Scholars Medicine Initiative is named, is a renowned and distinguished physician. He has labored tirelessly to raise awareness of the need for a greater representation of minorities in the field of medicine and he has worked for measures that would facilitate admission and graduation of minority candidates to IU School of Medicine.

CLD and Wishard Health Services are proud partners of the Rawls Scholars Medicine Initiative. This unique experience provides participants with the opportunity to closely interact with medical professionals and medical students to gain firsthand knowledge of attaining their career goals in medicine. Participants tour Wishard Hospital and the Coroner’s Office, shadow the trauma services staff and get an insider’s look at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Register Now
